The benefits detailed below are separated into two categories – Hourly Team Member Benefits and Salaried Team Member Benefits.

For the purposes of benefit eligibility, Team Members who average 30 or more hours per week are classified as full-time. If a full-time Team Member does not average 30 or more hours per week for 2 consecutive quarters, he/she will lose eligibility.

Hourly Team Member Benefits

PERSONAL TIME OFF (PTO): Due to the diversity of the Pyramid family, our company has chosen a flexible plan for Paid Time Off. This program is available to full-time Team Members. Vacation, sick, and personal time have been combined into a program called PTO.  Hours begin accruing on the 1st day of employment and can be used after 90 days of employment. Information on accrual schedules will be distributed upon commencement of employment.

INSURANCE: Hourly team members are eligible for health insurance coverage on the 1st of the month following 90 days of employment.  Although the company contributes toward the majority of the monthly premiums for health insurance coverage, team members pay a portion of the premiums.

  • MEDICAL: Pyramid offers a choice of three BlueCross BlueShield plans in all of our locations except those in New England, where we also offer HMO Blue. In our California and Colorado locations we offer a Kaiser HMO plan in addition to the three BCBS plans.  An HMO plan through SIMNSA is also offered in locations in Southern California.  Pyramid is also happy to offer an Aetna PPO through SRC for our part-time team members and our full-time hourly team members (available only during the benefit waiting period).  Plan brochures will be provided and include details for co-payments, coverage, and prescriptions.
     
  • DENTAL: Pyramid offers dental insurance through CIGNA. We offer both an DHMO (Dental Health Maintenance Organization) plan and a DPPO (Dental Preferred Provider Organization) plan. Plan brochures will be provided and include details for co-payments, coverage, and prescriptions.
     
  • LIFE INSURANCE and ACCIDENTAL DEATH & DISMEMBERMENT: Every employee meeting the eligibility requirements will receive a $10,000 Basic Life Insurance & Accidental Death & Dismemberment policy through Aetna.  This benefit is 100% paid by the company.
     
  • SUPPLEMENTAL LIFE and ACCIDENTAL DEATH & DISMEMBERMENT: Team members may purchase Supplemental Life and/or Supplemental AD&D for themselves and/or Dependent Life Coverage for their spouses and/or child(ren).  Prices and particulars will be provided.
     
  • SHORT TERM DISABILITY: Short Term Disability is required for all team members who enroll in one of our medical plans. Team members who do not enroll in one of our medical plans have the option of purchasing Short Term Disability coverage.  Coverage is through Reliance Standard.  Prices and particulars will be provided.
     
  • VISION: Team members have the option to purchase vision coverage through Vision Benefits of America. Plan brochures will be provided and include details for co-payments, coverage, and prescriptions.

EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM: Team members can receive confidential counseling and referral services through an 800 number with our Employee Assistance Program. This is available for both the team members and their immediate family members. 

EDUCATIONAL REIMBURSEMENT: Educational reimbursement is available up to a maximum of $500 per year. Please see your Supervisor for details.

ROOMS DISCOUNT: Team members are eligible for their location's brand's rooms discount program where applicable. 

JURY DUTY PAY: Employees are eligible for up to two weeks of Jury Duty pay per year. Jury Duty pay is paid at the difference between any pay received from the courts and any pay that would have been earned for scheduled hours missed (at the employee’s average hourly wage).

BEREAVEMENT PAY: Team members may receive up to three days bereavement pay for consecutive scheduled workdays missed due to the loss of an immediate family member. Covered family members are as follows: spouse/domestic partner, parents, children, siblings, mother-in-law, father-in-law, daughter-in-law, son-in-law, grandparents, and grandchildren.

DIRECT DEPOSIT: Direct deposit will be offered.

401(k): We are pleased to provide our team members with a financial vehicle to save for retirement.  In addition, Pyramid will match 50% of a team member's contribution up to 4% of his/her salary.  Any employee 21 years of age who have completed 3 months of service is eligible to participate.

Salaried Team Member Benefits

The benefit will cover up to 60% of your monthly salary to a maximum of $10,000. You must be out of work due to a disability for the preceding 180 days for Long Term Disability.  This benefit is 100% paid by the company.
